As the holiday season approaches, we think about all the fond memories and the people that we’ve met in the last year. We also remember all those crazy wonderful people who took part in our first ever Brushfire Challenge. Here is a classic from June. Kevin Robertson successfully completed the challenge. Congrats big guy! We hope you’ll take part next summer, as we bring you the Brushfire Challenge in 2013.

Yes, that’s correct folks. We have 2 new winners of the Brushfire Challenge. James Burbidge and Jordi McLaughlin. The boys did it together, Jordi seemed to be the favorite but had a few struggles, I was a bit worried about him but he did it!
Note: Don’t touch your eyes after!!!!
James demolished it, didn’t think he would finish at all but did! His e-mail a few days later… hehe… nearly made me pee myself….too funny. Lets just say he had “an adventure”. One small quote…” I started seeing stars, I thought I was going to die!” Good job boyz!
James and Jordi are the final champions for 2012. Stay tuned next summer folks, when we will once again be starting the 2013 edition of the Brushfire Challenge. Thanks to all those who took up the mantle and gave our Brushfire Challenge a try.

We have 3 more Brushfire Winners
Martin Rygiel hammered out 8 wings to the tune of “No pain, no gain”! Well he got the pain… not sure about the gain, but hey… we’re not doing it. His friends offered little support, but had a few laughs. No kisses for the wife.
Adam Charlebois didn’t fair so well… however he did complete the challenge. We have to give him credit there. Sure the video has gone viral. Think we all felt his pain. He didn’t say much after. He did NOT like this challenge. Love when the friends make fun of him while he’s doing it then they try a tiny bit after and cry. It’s harder than you think folks. Not worth the pain I say!
Lastly Mr. Jerome Little completed challenge with our 1st ever winner Nick offering “advice” and “taunts”, THERE IS NO GOOD ADVICE! Had his glasses on the whole time… good thing… his eyes were a blood shot MESS! Looked like he hot boxed for 24 hours in a phone booth. Ouch. His quote… I’ll be back… we dont think so! Haven’t heard from him yet, still suffering I bet! Congrats to all.
… and he kept coming back for more!

Yes! Kevin Robertson took on our Brushfire Challenge with no problems at all. He thought it was super hot, but unbelievably tasty… so much so that he came back a few days later for more… That’s one crazy guy!

We have three more winners in the Mirrors Brushfire Challenge… oh… and two more that didn’t make it!
Winners: Curtis Hinze slowly and methodically completed the challenge with one arm in a sling! Asked if he would ever try it again… he answered “No… never again”. He did this challenge with his lovely lady by his side and parents watching… ohhhhh the pressure!
Secondly we had four young gents come in specifically to tackle the challenge… Wow hard to quit with all the “bro’s” watching. However, two tapped out, one early and one still trying the end (not looking well either).
The other two winners were Dan Foote and Robert Bogaert. Both beat the heat. One crushing the old record, downing all the wings in 2 minutes (good and bad idea)! The other just under the wire (the heat went to his head as he ran laps around the parking lot trying to keep his mind off of his burning mouth). Good job by all the boyz. I heard the next 24 hours sucked! Bummer…..literally.
Do you think you can handle the heat better? We dare you to take the Mirror’s Brushfire Challenge.
The rules are simple. Eat 1lb of our Brushfire Wings in 15-minutes or less, there will be no help in putting out the fire (e.g. milk, sugar, beer etc.). After the wings are done, you have to lick your fingers clean and sit for another 5-minutes with no aid.
If you can handle the heat and finish those last 5-minutes you’ll go down in the history books!
Your photo will appear on our website, you’ll receive our limited edition t-shirt and get your wings for free!

Brushfire recorded it’s first tapout.
Paul managed to throw down 5 wings and then called it quits… was it the heat, the pressure or the size of the wings? I’m betting on the heat.
The Series is now tied at 1-1.

Our First Winner!!

We have our first winner of the Inaugural Mirror’s Brushfire Challenge!!
He suffered!!!! HUGE. It doesn’t look like it in the photo, but he said his body wasn’t doing well after this photo was taken.
Put your hands together for our first winner in the Inaugural Mirrors Brushfire Challenge – Nick Michno. His last words before starting were…”Yes I do rock….maybe?” On May 27 2010 Nick was up to the challenge.
The play by play:
Nick destroyed the first 2 wings in record time, however by the 3rd and 4th wings, they hit him like a freight train. He pushed through the 5th, 6th and 7th wings painfully, hands and legs trembling, finally with 5 minutes left Nick polished off the last wing, licked his fingers and took on the horrific 5 minute wait. Nick took it like a trooper and did comment on the extreme heat and the excellent taste of the sauce.
Give him a round of applause, Congrats Nick!!! …. hopefully the next day went ok.
